What an experience......
For someone who is not at all comfortable on the water the Waka Ama was such an enjoyable thrill....
Aroha, Marty, Karen and Nic (I think) were the ultimate trainers and are such a great advert for the Maitahi Outrigger Canoe Club. Their teaching and explanations were clear and easy to understand which for me removed my concern about actually being on the water. It is obvious that this group of people have a passion for their sport and it shows. It also rubbed off on the ladies who did the Waka Ama part of boating as several of us have expressed and interest in joining the club...
